Sooooooo… my room looks different. 

All the water is gone. So is the carpet. And the bed. And pretty much anything else. We had professional cleaners disinfect everything. It no longer has that toxic brown sludge smell. But this was just the first step in a long process. We need new carpeting, new furniture, new lights. 

That means I’m going to be stuck in the purse room for quite some time. 

I don’t like it in here. It’s hard to sleep. It doesn’t feel like home. And I swear Lady Pursington is sneaking closer. 

Not only that, but above my bed I have these two staring at me.

I guess they are long dead relatives of mine. At least I hope so. Otherwise my mom hung an old picture of random strangers to taunt me. 

I call this guy Captain Archibald Mustachio.

He led the 7th Mustache Brigade in the Civil War. He killed two confederates by stabbing them with firmly waxed whiskers.
